My present affiliation is with the International Trypanotolerance Centre and the University of the Gambia where I work as a researcher and lecturer respectfully, in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
I am a Nigerian by birth and had been privileged to study and stay in a few other countries of the world. I had a BSc Degree in Agriculture (animal sciences) from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. This was followed by a MSc Degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics with a professional variant in Public Administration and Policy from the Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
My career interest include sustainable conservation and utilization of genetic resources in order to improve human livelihood, food security and climate change adaptation strategies. I particularly have interest in providing practical information and suggestions through agricultural research for development. Having undergone some periods of schooling and professional work experiences in both the developed and developing countries, it is my desire to contribute to the recent advances and knowledge on climate change, food security and development activities within the sphere of my expertise. I look forward to working with the like-minded people and agencies in realizing the stated objectives. My career objective is to generate innovative approaches to sustainable management of agricultural genetic resources as a way to improve human livelihood and reduce the impact of climate change. I particularly have interest in providing evidence-based information through agricultural researches for development in order to guide projects and policies.
I have been participating in the MIT Climate CoLab as a contest and connector catalyst since 2015.
