With the right set of variables for each of the three alternatives (cropland expansion, agricultural intensification and changing diet patterns) you could do a multi-dimensional cost-benefit analysis comparison along environmental, technology, social, economic and political aspects. |

Evaluation of the problema seems to be cler but you have not focused on the rest of the proposal and the impact of the research you are proposing.
