Hi Sadiq,
Can you please add more information to your proposal, and answer the remaining questions, so we can better understand your idea for lowering carbon emissions?
Thanks,

Hi Sadiq,
Thanks for submitting your proposal to the contest! CarbonGobbler seems like a useful product for quantifying reductions and allowing for contests, and we will certainly consider this moving forward.
Best,

My favorite aspect of this proposal is that it will not only reduce carbon emissions but will also save the users money.

Dear Sadiq,
I saw your note in your resources section about the links not working correctly. To fix this, go to that section in your proposal, highlight the linked text and click the link icon in section's menu bar. This will allow you to edit the link. Insert a colon ":" after "https" in your link, and the problem should be solved. If it is still not working, please send me a direct message.

This doesn't seem like a proposal. It's more like an ad for the product of an existing business.

And it appears that the business has arranged a claque.

Michal, We tried out best to answer all questions in the contest with as much information we can provide, which can be validated. Our references are a result of the dedicated work we are committed to i.e. creating awareness for carbon emissions and responsibility. We spur action via the CarbonGobbler, an easy to use application.. We try to keep it simple and cost effective that can show quick results. If there is any aspect on which you would like us to throw more light do point out and I will be happy to respond.

Dear Sadiq,
Your presentation is top notch. However, have you found any backlash from employees not wanting to be thrown into work place competition....of any type....while at home? I myself would not be overly joyed to hand a boss one more intrusion into my private life....regardless of the greater good.
How can an employee opt out of your system without being cut out from the herd and retaliated against by the boss, fellow workers and possibly even outside third parties looking to harass those who are 'lagging behind' the herd of Greenhatters?
Best wishes,
Michael

Dear Sadiq,
Optimising energy usage for a given set of activities is welcome move by the developed tools. The proposal needs to ensure that by using such tools the life support needs are not getting sacrificed / digressed. What should be the baseline for energy use in different activities. Any comparative analysis available for environmentally benign sustainable life style. Bests, Manohar

Dear Michael123, Thanks for your comment. And you have an excellent question.
The only way your boss is going to know if you are participating in the program is if you are a Winner of the internal contest.
Here is how...As far as CarbonGobbler is concerned you are a Number! We no not collect personal information. The only thing we use is an email id, so we can send you alerts and notifications.
The management in a firm will know that there are 1500 of their 3000 employees participating. Who they are? THAT IS SOMETHING THEY CAN NEVER KNOW. NOR CAN THEY DRILL DOWN TO YOUR DATA!! Confidentiality has been a primary concern for us from the day we went to the design board. So you as an employee are good. Don't want to participate, your choice but then you are not giving yourself a chance to win one of the commendations, rewards and or awards.
It is all about personal choice. So the employees information is in good hands.
Trust this helps.
Best

Dear Manohar, thanks for your comments. We are looking for small lifestyle changes like turning down or up your AC for a couple of hours, that is it. If you want to save more money, reduce energy usage and reduce carbon emissions, it is all up to you on how far you want to take it.
While I doubt there are any recommended baseline on usage of appliances. What we do have in the application is National energy intensity averages both for residential and Business. On various range of parameters like, Sq.Foot occupied, No. of people in a home or office, Income range, and many others. These are US national averages and I have not seen any such level of detail from any other country, unfortunately.
I do hope I have understood your question and my response throws light on your queries.

Wouldn't it be simpler to discount parking tickets to drivers below a certain annual mileage charge?? Keep the ideas simple. This one is so elaborate nobody would use it but a bureaucrat!
