Member Profile
I am, born March 04, 1951, a graduate engineer (1972 – NIT Raipur, CG, India); post graduate in environmental law (2002 – NLSIU Bangalore, India). Four decades of experience include project manager for three major industrial projects (metallurgical & power reforms), four small projects, five major studies for ailing industry / industrial sector for banks, a number UNFCCC Secretariat's tasks and international exposure for technologies, engineering and business development. These milestones also encompassed organizing a number of capacity building exercises, workshops, seminars, writing course material for IGNOU, a chapter in a UNU sponsored reference manual on regional integration. Over the years I have learnt that the environmental impact potential of any product, process, project or technology; through their lifecycle; is quite at variance with the environmental impact assessment normally considered in various financial mechanisms. What is possible and surprisingly not tried enough; to concurrently remove tangible and measurable negative environmental impacts as economist, market dynamics and environmental jurisprudence are guiding the cost attributable to each productive cycle. Thereby little drive to concurrently research & explore the entire gamut of environmental impact potential and its mitigation measures for any productive cycle. The findings of environmental impact potential and regenerating further business opportunities for redressal of environmental impacts; in some cases; can be amazing. I am continuing professional activities in an independent Consultant capacity. Maintaining keen interest in clean energy technologies, energy efficiency / audit, carbon finance. I am open to serve for project / program management, feasibility studies, re-structuring / reforms, assessments, technical audits, procurement services, capacity building and teaching assignments.
