The Climate CoLab is made up of a diverse international community of over 85,000 members, including over 800 volunteers as Advisors, Judges, and other roles, and a dedicated team of staff members and researchers. Each contribution from a community member, even a single vote or comment, helps in the collective work of figuring out what we can do about climate change.
Members are the core users of the website, who read, write, and vote on proposals. As the Climate CoLab is open to everyone, not just scientists and policy makers, their backgrounds are diverse. They bring their varied knowledge from all sectors and all societies to the Climate CoLab.
Advisors are subject matter experts who have a deep knowledge of the contest theme and strong connections in the field. Their expertise is critical for shaping the contest prompt and providing expert feedback to proposal authors. They may also serve as contest judges.
Judges are subject matter experts who have a high level of experience in the field, and provide feedback on and select the contest's most promising proposals.
