The proposal is a nice way to encourage recycling in a developing region. The contributor has a good comprehension of the challenges that face his community and came up with an interesting incentive to involve the participants. We hope to see some results in the near-future!

Challenges and issues are clear and the proposal looks like a very good and necessary step towards a circular economy in Africa. Further reflection on obstacles and stakeholders could help strengthen the project. Integration of technologie and active transportation is very interesting and promising.

Well described idea, based on good understanding of concrete challenges. The whole process of the development of introduced concept makes sense and tackles main issues. Mobile app introduced as the "connecting point" among different stakeholders is not clearly described - how is it going to be designed, promoted, managed, maintained, upgraded ... Most likely people need some more information why to join, to recognise "what is in it for me". Lack of communication support to this project might be an obstacle as well as an unclear relation among key stakeholders - how are they going to collaborate, who is going to lead the project and where the main financial investment should come from. Very good example of a bottom-up approach that shall be elaborated a bit more.

Judges' comments:
Problem-solving is described in a convincing way.
The proposal is based on a good insight into the situation and expresses a high level of understanding of different stakeholders, their needs, and their capabilities.
The proposed solution sounds reasonable, while some more attention should be given to the obstacles. Social, economic and environmental components are included, a business model is simple and clear.
Would be nice to see how it will work in practice!
