It's an interesting topic and we are glad you shared this...However, we are a strong supporter of waste management hierarchy and prefer recycling & recovery of waste as a resource over incineration solutions. As recycling markets in the waste sector are linked to livelihoods of millions of low-income households, we largely wish to support efficient recycling practices in developing countries. Incineration is only effective when both electricity and heat can be recovered. It is unlikely to recover both at small scale so we may resort to it as the last option based on it's lifecycle efficiency (for non-recyclable waste). |
