Judges'' comments
The proposal is well developed. The Judges' comments from previous round were addressed in the updated version of the proposal.
While the judges felt this proposal might be unique in the region of Uganda, they also would have liked to see more information about the timeline and other relevant work in the region (from the authors or others, via the references).

Feedback from the judges:
The proposal is interesting and novel in the proposed context of Kampala, Uganda. Please make the following changes to strengthen the proposal.
1. Improve the budget.
2. Describe and clarify the economic sustainability of the VMG activities. What is the proposed financial strategy to sustain the project's operations after initial grant funding?
3. Include more detail on awareness creation among urban dwellers on need to conserve the environment, and on making manure from their refuse.
Paul Matovu Jun 11, 2016 05:20 ![]() | Proposal creator Dear Climate CoLab team, Thanks for the guidance and positive support. I have made a few revisions to my proposal in these areas. 1. The proposal costs area has been improved to articulate costs, benefits and estimated growth over a period of 5 years. Links have to the Risk mitigation plan and the full budget have also been added. |
Paul Matovu Jun 11, 2016 07:25 ![]() | Proposal creator 2. Awareness Creation has also been articulated under the Actions section. Among the awareness creation measures, VMG proposes use of media including radio, TV, print media, and social media. A "How -To-Do" toolkit will also be developed and shared with the farmers. Additionally, study tours and Farmer Field Days will be organised to further adoption. |
