Monika Dos Santos Apr 3, 2016 01:06 ![]() | Dear Raj Thank you for submitting to the Adaptation contest. This water sanitation technique looks particularly relevant to the needs in the Himalayan region.
best wishes Monika |
Natalie Unterstell Apr 3, 2016 10:46 ![]() | Thank you for this very important proposal. Some recommendations to strenghten it are: - removing the paper wording and focusing on your pitch (i.e. "This paper provides the varieties of technologies which can be used as an adaptive mechanism. Technologies are in practice within the countries in different places and context." ...) - disclose the criteria for selecting a community to be benefited. Best |
Laurie Ashley May 5, 2016 10:19 ![]() | Thank you for this thorough proposal. One challenge I've seen with drip irrigation is that the extra cost (over gravity fed) can be prohibitive for poor farmers. Can you provide additional information on why and how farmers will be willing to try drip irrigation despite the additional expense? Best wishes, Laurie |

Patrick Ray May 23, 2016 10:00 ![]() | Ecosan team, Last day to refine the proposal. Looking forward to seeing the final version. Please tell me about the biological contaminant concerns using human waste for irrigation. What precautions would be taken? Good luck. |
Sergio Pena May 23, 2016 09:57 ![]() | Dear Ecosan, it is an interesting proposal. I would like to add the legal view on this subject. It will be interesting to know, if possible, how legal rules on this subject would help for making this device. As you probably know already, certain devices related to this subject has been made. However, one of the main problems are the basic materials. Some constructor have opted for "natural" elements due to economic constraints, impot taxes for materials from developed countries, etc. Considering the special conditions of Nepal, moreover, would be interesting to know the possible econocmic helo by legal rules of the government on this matter as well the security of these devices.Cheers. |
