Thank you for your submission! PRT is definitely a novel and futuristic idea. Unfortunately, your proposal was not selected as a finalist for the transportation efficiency contest. The judges have provided some comments for your consideration:
- The idea of implementing PRT has been around for a few years without much progress. It would be good to hear more about how it can be implemented, in addition to the barriers to implementation.
- Implementing this will require additional infrastructure which makes wider-scale deployment infeasible (however, we suspect PRTs will infiltrate some niche markets).
- Unless PRTs are all electric and electricity is carbon-free, this will not be beneficial for carbon mitigation.
