I am a migratory beekeeper from North Dakota.  My family is one of 1,600 families who travel around the USA with our honeybees and pollinate one third of our nation’s crops. Growing up in a tight community and watching the health of our bees decline; I have become a passionate advocate for beekeepers and honeybee health. I now reside in a village in the foothills of the Himalayas. My husband is a local farmer. We must balance the polarities between traditional agriculture and modernization, trying to keep cultural practices in a warming world that has to change.
