Hi Michael,
Thanks for your novel and imaginative proposal. Unfortunately our judges have chosen not to advance it to the next round. Below is some constructive criticism:
1. Feasibility: The pitch stresses participation in and winning a contest which would then catalyze change but there is no plan for moving the idea forward except sharing an email with the UN. Bringing this idea to reality, would require recruiting world class executives
and developing a 'world class' proposal. It would be great if you could consider specific next steps.
2. Fuller considerations of negative impacts of marine cities:
a) Environmental - what are consequences of further industrialization of oceans?
b) Social-Who can live/afford to live in this new engineered space? What are some
