Thank you for your Climate CoLab contest entry. We appreciate your willingness to share your ideas with us.
As you may know, desalinization plants are being used or considered in many countries around the world, though is a very energy-intensive and costly process. See the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desalination.
We would however welcome your and the communities' proposals on how to decrease the energy intensity, cost and challenges of desalinizing sea water for human use.
As the "U.S. Federal Agencies" contest prompt asks proposal authors to suggest actions the U.S. federal government could take to address climate change, we encourage you to modify your proposal to fit within the contest guidelines so that it can be considered by our team of Judges. Alternatively, you may also wish to submit it into a more relevant contest, such as Adaptation. Until then, we will move your proposal to the proposal workspace. When your proposal is ready to resubmit, you can move your proposal to a relevant contest by logging in and selecting the ADMIN tab on your proposal.
Thanks!
