Sahar Sodoudi is Junior professor of Urban Climatology and head of the working group “Urban Climate and Health“ at Freie Universitaet Berlin. She studied Physics and has her PhD in Meteorology. She has many years experience in climate and urban climate modeling and is working on the interaction between climate change and urban heat island and its impact on outdoor micro climate, Building’s energy demand and human thermal comfort. Since 2016, she is cooperating with 18 Egyptian Universities in the field of adapting sustainable urban development on the local climate change via the establishment of „Urban Climate Labs“ in Egyptian Universities.
