Mike is the Vice President, Strategic Development where he leads all operations associated with new revenue and fundraising efforts. Previously, Mike worked in the BlueGreen Alliance’s policy and advocacy operations. Most recently, he was the Director of Policy and Legislation for BlueGreen Alliance. In that role, he led the development of and advocacy for the BlueGreen Alliance's policy initiatives on Capitol Hill and in states across the country. Prior to this position, Mike served for four years as a Policy and Legislative Advocate for the BlueGreen Alliance, during which time he worked tirelessly to develop and advance BlueGreen Alliance positions on energy and climate change, renewables, manufacturing, energy efficiency, and green schools.
Previously, Mike worked as Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s (D-TX) Legislative Assistant, handling energy, environmental, and transportation issues. While there, he helped author the Climate MATTERS Act, among the most progressive pieces of climate change legislation at that time. Mike also worked for the National Wildlife Federation, helping launch their environmental education advocacy campaign and assisting with policy and campaigns on energy policy and the Water Resources Development Act.
Mike graduated from The George Washington University with an M.A. in Public Policy, concentrating in Environmental Policy. He received his B.A. from Boston University, where he studied Philosophy and Music.
