I am 22 years old Environmental Engineer from Bolivia. What fascinates me is the pursuit of sustainable socio-economic development based on climate change resilience and natural resources protection. Climate Change is a reality, but I believe that with current technology we could mitigate and adapt to it; however, is necessary to change our lifestyle. That’s why I studied environmental and development engineering at Zamorano University, in Honduras, where I had the opportunity to get involved in projects and competitions focused on social development and environment. I has the opportunity to compete and be selected among the best projects of the international contests “Go Green in the City”,”Vertech City” and “International Genetic Engineering Machine”.

I am volunteer at "Amazonia Hearth of The World", organization devoted to raising awareness and promoting the development of legislation to take care of the Amazon Basin. I collaborate with "Water Ecuador", which conducts studies to raise awareness about the importance of potable water. I am member of the Latin American and Caribbean Youth Organization for Climate Change, World Youth Alliance and the Honour Society of Agriculture “Gamma Sigma Delta”.

I had work and academic experience in natural resources management, climate change, water pollution, renewable energy, soils conservation, agriculture production, socio economic development, gender equality, ICT4D, food security and coastal management. I am currently working as visitor scholar at the Louisiana State University Agricultural Centre.  

In the future I would like to continue studying and specialize in rural development and climate change. I would like to fund a non-profit organization to create socioeconomic development projects based on climate change resilience in developing countries. I am committed to be a change maker for a better world.
