Leah Fisher is a climate change policy specialist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). After starting with NOAA's National Ocean Service in 2013 as a Knauss Marine Policy Fellow focused on NOAA's Arctic policy and the National Ocean Policy, she is now serving as the National Ocean Service's Climate Change Policy Coordinator.
Leah is trained academically as a marine scientist, holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in Biology, and a Master of Science degree from the College of Charleston in Marine Biology. With a broad scientific background, Leah is passionate about interdisciplinary, cross-sector, and innovative approaches to advancing climate change mitigation, adaptation, and research.
