Phil Sharp is the President of Resources for the Future, an American non-profit that conducts independent research into environmental, energy and natural resource issues. From 1975 to 1995 Sharp served in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat for the 10th and then 2nd district of Indiana. Afterward he joined the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as a Lecturer in Public Policy. Sharp currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Energy Foundation. He graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in 1964 and received a PhD in government from Georgetown in 1974.
