A good proposal even though its impact is a relatively narrow one, only to swimmers and swim lovers. To the point that is an existing company it makes the proposal though as a grey advertisement to the company, something that I think is not really fair. Plus, I do not really see the real connection with the aim of the "Shifting Attitudes and Behaviours", but again I might am wrong.

Hello Anastasia,

Everyone is a swimmer at some point in our target countries (where I live) . Italia, France and Spain have a big coast full of futur activist of our cause during the Spring/Summer and even Autumn seasons (for the courageous ones).

Our team is very independent and we will focus on branding and create the SwimAwares, you said we are already a company, but we are not, this is why we are still a project. If you talked about Econyl, we are going to be in collaboration with them because we outsource our fabric. We believe in the power of collaboration and we are ready to name our collaborators because this is important to support them. They make 100% recycled yarn and are localized in our first target country. Of course we will mention them. Your allusion to grey advertisement is really weird in a Collaboration platform where the goal is to collaborate with other people driven by climate change mitigation. But maybe you believed that we were Econyl, so I invite you to read the part where we explained our actions so you can better understand our role in the project.

The impact is actually bigger than the production of swimming suit made out 100% recycled plastic because bathing suits are visible everywhere and are powerful eye-catchers. Our SwimAware will educate people on the pollution of the ocean and make them wear a statement and not just a regular bathing suit. This is why we are totally in our place in "Shifting attitudes and Behaviours" category. We explored other categories to define ours. We even found some ideas that we support now. I encourage you to do so, the people on this platform are incredibly creative.

I hope I answer your questions and doubt about us Anastasia and thank you for the time you gave to read our proposal. :)

Hello Karim,

I also thought the scope of this proposal was narrow, but the impacts make up for that. If you can get major swimwear producers on board, the impact would be even greater and ability create greater awareness will expand as novice and professional swimmers (Olympics) would hopefully choose to wear this swimwear. If I had a pool, ocean or swimable river nearby, I would.

Maybe you can have a couple of the pro-swimmers test your swimwear to see how it holds up in competition.

Hello Pia,

We had the same ideas you have and we will try to diversify on professional swimwear in the futur. But, because we do branding and creation, we have to be really careful on who we will associate with our SwimAware brand. After several research, we discovered that, nowadays, the charm of a local and little store is more powerful to create a brand than a big store. Indeed, the trust people will put on us could be destroyed really quickly by a bad association to a major producer or a big brand. We want to build solid foundation to our brand, this is why we will collaborate with shops that are local and brands that are fully transparent and eco-friendly.

I see that you are part of our supporters, I thank you for that ! And as a part of our SwimAware squad,if you have any other comments, ideas or advice, don't hesitate and tell us.

That's interesting about consumer perceptions, big store v. small stores. Guess the "big box" stores have created a conundrum for themselves. Thanks, for the insight, Karim.
