Aadhithya Sujith Aug 12, 2017 08:30 ![]() | Hi Kiri Team, Thanks for submitting proposal to Climate colab again and I appreciate your efforts in working with Argentina government in driving some of the climate change projects. I have gone through your proposal and you have done a great job explaining who will be taking actions in executing the proposed project of a sustainable slum. However I have also noticed that from the proposal that the actions that you propose to make a sustainable slum is still a work in progress in the proposal. I think the main action item would be to provide carbon free energy in the slum. Some interesting links to know life in slum & building a carbon free city from scratch is listed below. A Carbon-Free City Is Being Built from Scratch Building the World’s First Carbon-Neutral City Rapidly growing slums could be the key to sustainable urban energy system transformation Thanks & regards Aadhithya |
Teerth Brahmbhatt Aug 27, 2017 07:25 ![]() | Dear Kiri Team, Your proposal sounds fascinating it is great to hear that you are looking to help marginalized communities with your innovations. As Aadhithya stated it would be better to focus on one component of your proposal as opposed to so many facets of sustainability for slums and shanty towns. Building materials may be a great place to start because there are so many options available for improving the stock of buildings from current materials used in this setting.
Best Regards,
