EduClima by EduClima
Olawale Olaniyan Jun 24, 2017 03:45 ![]() | Hi EduClima team, This is a good proposal. The summary is straight to the point and easily understandable. I'll like to suggest that you expansiate more on the implementation stategies. Be more precise about the countries and how you intend to start the project, how progress can be monitored and and possibly, the mid-term result is evaluated. Your project is expected to be for 5 years, how do you plan to track your activities given that the students will always change classes every year? Best wishes Olawale (ClimateColab Catalyst) |
Henk Smeenk Jun 29, 2017 07:09 ![]() | Proposal contributor Hallo Olawala, thank you for you observations. I will elaborate more on implementation strategy and measurables outcomes. In the first phase activities are concentrate around the climate station; in the second phase we will support the students which have shown most interest in the topic, in further development in the field of climate change adaptation. The students then will have passed to the secondary level of education and are -hopefully- then accessible through email. I'll keep you informed. regards Henk |

Hari Krishnaa Aug 13, 2017 08:26 ![]() | Dear Edu Clima, Greetings! Thank you for your Interesting proposal. It's a very good Idea to prepare future farmers to the Impacts of climate change through awareness and education and help them grow with adaptation capacities. With a view to assisting your proposal, I wish to share a few comments: 1. It will be good to Include a few periodic activities (such as competition for students, Influencing parent farmers decision making through students, etc.) that will show Interim outcomes and Impacts of your Initiative. 2. Elaborate on the Internet and educational technology and justify its feasibility, appropriateness, challenges, and limitations, etc. 3. I would like to draw your attention to the following link, where the criteria for judging proposals are explained-https://www.climatecolab.org/resources/2017/adaptation. Please re-look and review your proposal from the perspective of feasibility, novelty, impact and presentation quality and Improve it to Improve the chances of winning the contest. I hope you will find these thoughts useful. Best regards Hari Krishnaa |
Toyin Naturecares Aug 18, 2017 04:31 ![]() | Dear EduClima, I agreed with your choice of proposal, advocating for climate education for younger generation. Just some few observations 1) What will be the benchmark for selection of the proposed children? 2) Are the proposed pupils directly related to the farmers? 3) The scope of training or awareness program for the school children was not defined. Thanks and all the best to the team Toyin Oshaniwa (ClimateColab Catalyst)

Henk Smeenk Sep 23, 2017 04:35 ![]() | Proposal contributor Dear Toyin, thanks for your observationes.
A short reaction: 1. Selection of the children will be based on proven interest and motivation. Their teacher will play a significant role in the assessment. 2. Since our scope is primary rural schools, many of the pupils are children of small scale farmers 3. Correct, that is under development. An important aspect indeed. |
