Interaction for Real Time Tracking by CRI Council and CPCI
Pitch
Interactions for real time tracking and true integration are critical to influence industrial changes necessary for GHG reductions
Description
Summary
Like most industry, the building sector leaders not only pride themselves on innovative new products and technologies, they have also realized for some time that to meet the climate challenge and drive sustainable growth, some critical changes will need to be made on how it views and deals with its resources and waste.
To do so effectively, we the Construction resource Initiative Council (CRI Council), the Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete (CPCI) Institute and our Mission 2030 partners beleive that our greatest innovation will be to interact to break the barriers that have been the foundation to our industrial revolution depending on high comsumption and damaging production patterns.
With integration, we can develop timely industry impact information (real time) through sustainable plant programs like the CPCI one to ensure design and policy decisions are finally made on contantly evolving and updated information.
For manufacturing sectors where 90% of the impacts come from raw materials this would push the envelope to real time benchmarking, overcoming policy challenges and enable sustainable growth.
What actions do you propose?
Interact with the widest-possible range of public and private industry stakeholders and market influencers to ensure...
Awareness of the need for change
Desire to support and participate in the need for change
Knowledge of how to change
Ability to implement the change
Reinforcement to support the change
Who will take these actions?
Construction Resource Initiatives Council supported by a long and growing list of wide-ranging supporters and partners
Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute
Others to be determined
Where will these actions be taken?
The creation and principle development will start in Canada but as the actions will be able to be implemented anywhere by anyone, we trust we will find interacters globally
How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?
Substantially as they will address short-lived climate pollutants emitted through the entire life-cycle
