Interesting indeed. Here is what the WNA has regarding cooling water and plant efficiency, from various power sources. FYI. Thank you. Mark

Thank you. What is "click support proposal icon" please? It's a menu choice? Gladly support your project! Is that the same as "voting" for a project? Mark

Hi team,
I admire the sound engineering principles that are at work in this proposal. However, I'm wondering how this proposal could be made more innovative? I mean, these processes have already found wide applications in the industry. I'm sure the team could further push their limits in finding a novel approach.
Let me know how I could help.
Regards,
Romalino

Hi Romalino, This is the first I have heard of this idea being used in this manner can you provide other applications in industry where it is at work? Thanks for your interest. Also,if you like the proposal can you click the support proposal icon on the top right of the page? :)

Dear Cyclone, Thank you for the proposal. Can you please compare and contrast more clearly the differences between this technology and standard combined cycle generation technologies?
For example http://electrical-engineering-portal.com/an-overview-of-combined-cycle-power-plant
Much thanks,
Jessica

Hi Jessica combined cycle units use combustion technology to run a gas turbine while using the exhaust gasses to boil water in the boiler each have their own generator. My idea focuses on
extracting energy from other heat sources and making electrical power from them.

This proposal, while interesting, lacks certain details which makes it hard to properly evaluate it. Specifically, costing, implementation, and timelines were all rather vague. There were also some questions from two commenters about how novel and innovative this approach is/how it differs from technology that is already employed in existing power plants. Unfortunately the information on the proposal page was not sufficient to address these questions. For future contests, if you could submit a more detailed proposal which more directly 'sells' your approach in terms of its novelty, the niche it could fill, etc. it would be appreciated. In the meantime, we hope that you remain involved with the Climate CoLab community and thank you again for your involvement to date.
