I've noticed that metropolitan buildings near coastlines focus wind down corridors, perhaps windmills can be attached to these structures.

Summary
Due to the proximity of skyscrapers and homes to oceans and beachfront properties, these buildings are prime real estate for windmills, skyscrapers also create corridors of intense wind that can be exploited for wind energy.
These building owners have large disposable incomes, are probably interested in reducing their green footprint, and are likely good candidates for luxury wind mills.
Architects could be enabled to design skyscrapers that harvest wind energy. It would bring a whole new meaning to Detroit as the "Windy City." Also, Milton, Massachusetts is the windiest city in the U.S.

What actions do you propose?
Windmills on beach houses and on skyscrapers could provide an excellent revenue stream for the windmill industry.
The problem is that windmills aren't designed to be pretty accessories to beautiful homes and skyscrapers, they are prone to kill birds, and the ease of installation and maintenance is troublesome.
Laws can passed that will reduce or remove liability for windmills installed on current skyscrapers or included in future skyscrapers.
