I don't see a good description of what FAU stands for, and it would be helpful to have a good technical description of how combining two energy sources will reduce load. The proposal sounds very interesting, however. Is this a type of co generation? Combined heat and power?

Interesting proposal, but additional info and elaboration would help. Also note that not all dwelling units have both gas and electricity. Many condos and apartments do not have gas. The system may be good for new construction, but retrofitting existing buildings may be challenging. Development would be required in order to make this type of system economically viable, but it does seem to have potential. Cheers !..
