This is a very interesting idea – reaching mayors is a good strategy for the value they bring with their political reach and geographic coverage. However there are certain aspects in the curriculum plan cited which is very ambitious and might not be feasible. For example, developing a local resilience plan in a module session might be too ambitious and then not produce substantive results. Developing local resiliency plans require time, participation, money, etc. The proposal could think through more concretely what would be feasible to achieve in the modules that relate to adaptation planning and training. For example, what could be shared with the mayors could be to include the key things that mayors could consider for adaptation, how to approach the plan, key considerations, etc and what needs to be taken into consideration before embarking into such an exercise. In the next iteration, it will be useful to have the curriculum ideas for each module more clearly articulated. Also, include how this curriculum can be transferred to other localities/how best practices for this work can be adopted by others interested in creating resiliency education for policymakers.

There were no revisions made to the proposal after the initial review, so issues raised by the Judges were not addressed.
