Thank you for your contribution! The judges thought it was a good one, and would like to share their thoughts.
One thing that occurred to them was the question of how much the PR and $10K the CoLab offers would actually serve to advance a project such as this, given how far along you are and the scale of your expected costs.
Another suggestion was about formatting of your entry: one judge suggested it might be more succinct in parts. Overall, judges thought this was a notably strong effort!

Thank you for the positive feedback. it is most appreciated. While the $10K is a small amount of money relative to the costs of implementing this initiative, given that we are in the start-up phase it could really assist us with out of pocket fundraising expenses. It would also be nice to pay some of the people who are helping get this off the ground as well.
The PR can be enormously helpful. Our greatest need at the moment is getting this initiative in front of funders. Once they learn about it they are quite interested, but it takes time to raise the profile of an initiative and networking is a very slow and laborious process. So whatever visibility we can get from recognition this contest might provide would be most helpful.
There is a lot of detail in the proposal because given the ambition level of this initiative we wanted people to understand the amount of thinking that has already been done. We have tried to summarize the key points before going into the detail for those who just want to know we have thought this through carefully but don't want to read through all of the specifics.
