I am 77 years old. I do not have much background in the sciences, but I have a deep interest in what is happening to our ecologies and how it affects us. I keep a sharp eye on weather reports and the disastrous news about the oceans, polar caps, forests, earth quakes and tsunamis, etc. Over the years, I have read a great deal of science fiction - some of which makes fairly accurate predictions about the future. I have no academic clout and very little training in the sciences (only a freshman class in pre-med biology and some high-school physics, both of which I loved).

I'd like to put my sense of urgency to good use here. I do think we are already in very serious trouble. So include me if you think I can contribute. In any case, I'd like to subscribe to your publication if I can afford it on a small fixed income. Thanks for what you are doing.
