Jason Anderson is head of European climate change and energy policy at the WWF European Policy Office where he manages a team in Brussels, leads European policy among a network of 15 offices, and contributes to WWF’s Global Climate and Energy Initiative. He is also chairman of the Board of Directors of Climate Action Network Europe. Jason worked for several years in solar energy projects in North and Central America before his graduate studies. Thereafter he was a policy officer at Climate Action Network Europe in Brussels, during which time he was a member of several European Climate Change Programme working groups, including on industrial gases, emissions trading, and CO2 capture and storage (CCS). Afterward he was head of the climate programme at the Institute for European Environmental Policy, where he authored numerous studies on European and international climate and energy issues. He was also a lead author of the IPCC special reports on ozone and climate interactions, and on carbon dioxide capture and storage. Jason has graduate degrees in environmental science and energy policy from the University of California at Berkeley in 1998, and a degree in evolutionary biology from Harvard University in 1990.
