Fabio Mondini is Venture Partner with Idinvest Partners in Paris, France.

Previously, Mr. Mondini was Senior Vice President of Solar Business for Soitec, a role in which he was responsible for the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America as well as Global Project Portfolio Assessment in Soitec Solar , after having lead Amonix activities in Europe and Africa.

Previoulsy, Fabio founded and lead RenEn Renewable Energy, a leading PV Consulting Firm in Italy, focusing on scouting, developing and supporting the construction and management of utility- scale solar projects in Italy, connecting over 50MWs to the grid, and overseeing development of more than 300MWs.

Earlier Fabio has spent more than 15 years in Power and Renewables sectors, in McKinsey, ENEL and Russell Reynolds. In ENEL, Fabio has been Head of Integration, Head of International Management, Head of HR and Organisation and member of the Board of various companies outside Italy. Fabio has spent the previous 5 years in the Construction/EPC business, as Project Manager in developing countries and Managing Director of ESTRA in South Africa.

Fabio received his M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from M.I.T. and his M.B.A. from INSEAD. He is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French. Fabio has been President of MIT Alumni Club of Italy, VP of INSEAD IAA and teaches at LUISS Business School in Rome.
