I'm a PhD candidate in the Department of Natural Resources at Cornell University, studying with professor Karim-Aly Kassam. My research focuses on how plant diversity and ecological knowledge contribute to the food sovereignty of indigenous communities. I work with Dakota and Lakota communities in the northern Great Plains of the United States as well as with Amhara farmers in the Semien Mountains of Ethiopia.
