Pitch

My idea joins social equality, GHG reduction, energy, water and food security and reduced deforestation.

Description

Summary

DISCLAIMER: I strongly disagree there is something as "easy replicable and scalable" Climate Change (or any other wicked problem) is intrinsically complicated and there are no easy answers.

I'm just sharing an idea that would serve as a STEP TOWARDS sustainable development. Under very particular context and circumstances and with more research requiered to tune-up major unknowns. This context is Denmark. One of the EU countries with the highest ecological footprint per capita.

The idea has two axis.

1:Stop the potential for increased animal farms.

2:Joint Investment (public-private-community) for infrastructure that allows the 100% of animal manure to be trated on joint biogas plants accesible to all farmers.

This will allow Denmark to achieve their energy goals (particularly the de-carbonization for 2030), minimize the impact to water by Nitrogen leakage and its potential abatement by water intensive activities such as farm animals. Create jobs and investments that involve all sector of the society (not only powerfull capitalist) and stop Denmark from having to use land to produce energy crops to help satisfy their biofuels
