How can we effectively counteract the effects of rising atmospheric greenhouse gases, whether or not emissions are reduced?

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change defines geoengineering as “intentionally modifying the Earth’s climate at large scale.” Lack of effective action on climate change has led some scientists, chemists and engineers to investigate a variety of technical interventions to counteract some of the effects of rising atmospheric greenhouse gases, without reducing emissions. Geoengineering strategies can operate at a global or local level and commonly fall into one of two broad categories: solar radiation management or carbon dioxide removal.

In this workspace, you can try out new ideas, connect with other members, recruit collaborators, share your work, engage support, and invite a global community to review and help develop your proposal. You can also enter proposals here that can be linked to the Global Plan contest. Entries submitted here will not be evaluated by judges, unless they are included in a global plan.
