The United Nations process has been the primary mechanism to date for international negoitations on climate policy.In December 2009, representatives from all around the world gathered in Copenhagen, at a major meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The next major UN climate conference will be in Mexico in November-December 2010.
