Pitch

Use CO2 instead of water for fracking.

Description

Summary

This is certainly not an original idea and is not really meant to be a contest entry, but it seems to me that using CO2 for hydraulic fracturing would be a win-win by sequestering CO2 and reducing or eliminating the impacts to surface water and groundwater that occur when water containing toxic materials is used.  See

and

Using air would have the same advantages as far as reducing or eliminating water pollution and impacts to water supplies, but would not reduce cimate impacts.
