I am a school teacher, researcher and director of programmes for the Campaign towards Climate Compatible Development (CtCCD), a Zambian registered NGO that aims at addressing climate change using a multifaceted approach. CtCCD is still at its infancy stage and we intend to role out our programmes in full by the end of 2016.

I have authored peer-reviewed journal articles covering climate change, food security and natural resources management in Zambia and sub-Saharan Africa. My conservation philosophy is that the best and ideal way to mitigate and adapt to climate change is by working from a local scale and then up-scale to the global level. I believe the local level strategies to address climate change must emphasize and strongly involve the grassroots i.e. the local and usually poor people to create any tangible results.
