Biologist. Msc. In Biodiversity and Forest Management and Conservation. Between 2014 and 2015 I worked in landscape restoration for IUCN Mesoamerica. Between 2011 and 2013, I worked as Specialist on Multi-sectorial policies and Strategies for USAID Regional Program for the Management of Aquatic Resources and Economic Alternatives; and as National Advisor for updating the Strategy for Protected Areas Management. Between 2009 and 2011, I worked as Climate Change Advisor in diverse Projects for UNDP El Salvador, UNDP Guatemala, Ministry of Environment and Natural Recourses El Salvador and Swiss Red Cross. I also conducted several studies and projects on conservation and forests restoration, ecosystem services, livelihoods and climate change adaptation. In 2012, I worked as Biodiversity Specialist for a LifeWeb/UNEP project. In 2010, I worked for Wetlands Wetlands International in a binational livelihoods project. In 2008, I coordinated the formulation of the National Reforestation and Ecosystems Recovery of El Salvador. Since 2007, I am a member of the World Commission on Protected Areas of IUCN (WCPA - IUCN). I developed several activities related to protected areas management and biological corridors, and I developed Biosphere Reserves and Ramsar proposals for Central America.
