I am an enthusiastic promoter of clean energy with an engineering degree in clean energy which has been focussing on finance for clean energy in the last years. I have extensive experience as international expert leading donor sponsored clean energy projects for utilities, investors, project developers, NGOs and international financial institutions. Activities have been both programmatic and targeting actual investments in energy efficiency for buildings and industry and renewable energy (solar PV, wind, biomass, geothermal). I was involved in technical feasibility studies, clean energy planning for local authorities and monitoring, due diligence, market studies and evaluation, in Europe, and notably in Southeast Europe and further overseas (Africa, Asia, Central America). I have managed the consultancy activities for the Bulgarian office of Ecofys International and its follow up entity (2006—2012) serving utilities. We recently finished the implementation of a large EU funded renovation project in Sofia of a number of residential buildings and a hospital.

Apart from a number of projects Bulgaria, I worked on projects in the region commissioned by national and international authorities including the EBRD (clean energy credit line SlovSEFF in Slovakia). I partnered and led EU funded projects for the institutional promotion of clean energy in Eastern Europe, in extensive collaboration with local partners.
