I am a Climate Change & Sustainable Development (MSc.) researcher who lives in Ghana. My journey into the climate change corridor came when I was recommended to worked under a climate change department despite my first degree being in economics. I then decided to make the best out of my time working in the department, I therefore started reading and studying more about the whole climate change subject. The more I read, the more I became interested, I finally came to the conclusion that my desire to become an economist and help change Ghana and Africa at large will all be undone by climate change, hence the need to rather purse that course. This motivated me to divert from economics and study Climate Change for my postgraduate education, a decision I am so happy I made.

For my work experience I will talk of the key once which include my work under the Climate Change department of University of Ghana’s Regional Institute of Population Studies (RIPS) as a Research Assistant. I was a Resource Person at the African Adaptation Research Center of Excellence (AARC), which was a Climate Change resource center set up by the International Development Research Center (IDRC) in collaboration with RIPS. I had the opportunity to be the conference assistant for the 2nd Climate Change and Population Conference on Africa hosted by RIPS in June 2013, in collaboration with the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN). I have also assisted in the organization of Climate Change workshops, short courses and policy round table dialogues with policy makers in Ghana. Currently I am the director of Ghana for Climate Change which is a climate change N.G.O based in Ghana.

I love to learn and share ideas and that is what I hope to gain in this community.
