Adam is an urban farmer, forester and community organizer in Columbia, MO.   Adam had a duel BS of Forestry and Statistics (2008) and a MS in Forestry (2010) from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Adam has been active in environmental organizing since his undergraduate, working on recycling, biking, farming projects, and mentoring younger organizers.

As a graduate student he and two friends co-founded the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, an educational non-profit organization that works to demonstrate the feasibility of urban food production, help their neighbor grow, feed and education the community, and train the next generation of farmers.  Over the last 5 year the organization has grown from an all-volunteer bootstrapped organization to a United Way sponsored non-profit with a quarter of a million dollar budget and 12 employees.  Adam and his colleagues are making real impacts in the urban food system and helping the people of all social classes access the skills and knowledge of small scale food production. www.ColumbiaUrbanAg.org

Adam has aspirations of helping the vast farming community surrounding Columbia diversify they farming operations to incorporate agroforestry principals.  The network that Adam has been built and cultivated over the last 10 years is primed to make some big moves in the coming years.
