Hello Climate CoLab Community, Very excited to be part of this. Wanted to introduce ourselves--we are Melting Glacier Analytics (www.reliefanalysis.com or www.mganalytics.org), and we have been working on climate, disaster, and humanitarian projects and content development since 2009. We have a small but growing and vibrant community of opt-in subscribers who are think tanks, NGOs, media members, and others. Our proposal is under Adaptation - it's for a Relief Analysis Center, a forward-leaning fusion center blending climate, weather, geopolitics, and relief operations. Our web site, the Relief Analysis Wire (www.reliefanalysis.com), is kind of an embryonic predecessor for the types of content a fully-fledged Center may produce. Note, our initial posting is very, very, beta. We need to flesh out the scope of work, milestones and timelines, references, graphics, and most importantly, some of the contributions of our partners in the coming weeks. We chose "adaptation" because a fusion center: a) accepts climate change as a reality; b) fosters adaptation by providing strategic intelligence to policy makers, members of the media, analysts, and NGOs. Anyway, we have a lot of work to do, but wanted to introduce ourselves and we'd love any and all comments you may have, even at this early stage. If you want to potentially be a team member, please leave comment, or even sign up at our web site--we'd love to have you! Kind regards, The Melting Glacier Analytics Team

Hi MGA team, Glad to have you involved with the Climate CoLab, your project sounds very interesting. I see that you've placed your proposal in the Enabling adaptation contest https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/22, which seems very appropriate. I also wanted to let you know that it's okay to enter more than one contest, and what you're doing might also be appropriate for the Adaptation and civil society organizations contest https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/19. Wishing you best completing your proposal(s), and feel free to get in touch if questions arise. Hi Rob, Thanks very much - this is greatly appreciated. We will certainly explore the Adaptation and Civil Society contest as well. One quick question--can we also submit a second proposal under the same contest, i.e. if we have a separate idea/proposal we have been developing with a partner organization that may also be appropriate? Best, MGA Team

You asked, "One quick question--can we also submit a second proposal under the same contest, i.e. if we have a separate idea/proposal we have been developing with a partner organization that may also be appropriate?" What you describe would be fine, though it would be good to indicate that the groups who developed the proposals were different by using different author or team names. Again, appreciate your interest and looking forward to seeing your ideas! Rob
