Jock Herron

Jock Herron holds a doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Design where he co-leads the Smart Cities and Wellness project sponsored by the Humana Corporation and the Responsive Environments and Artifacts Lab at the GSD. He has a longstanding interest in global health, urbanisation, technology and design, writing his doctoral dissertation on "Global Health and Design: Learning from Tanzania and Abbott Payson Usher" and receiving a Derek Bok Teaching Award as a teaching fellow for the Harvard College course The Design of Amerman Cities. A former partner at a global investment firm, Herron has a MDesS with distinction and an MPA from Harvard, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Hampshire College.
